Compare Markettailor

Markettailor vs Clearbit

Clearbit and Markettailor both start from the same signal, the company behind an anonymous website visit, but do different things with it. Clearbit, now part of HubSpot, writes that data into CRM records and shows buyer intent to your marketing and sales teams. Markettailor uses it to change what the visiting company sees on your website, then reports how each segment and target account engages.

If your goal is cleaner CRM data inside HubSpot, Clearbit is the natural choice. If your goal is a website that adapts to the companies visiting it, Markettailor is built for that.

What Clearbit Does Well

Clearbit was acquired by HubSpot in 2023. Its enrichment, buyer intent (the successor to Clearbit Reveal) and form shortening now live inside HubSpot, launched as Breeze Intelligence in 2024 and now described in HubSpot's documentation as data enrichment and buyer intent. Clearbit's free tools, including the Weekly Visitor Report and Clearbit Connect, were discontinued on 30 April 2025, and the public Logo API was shut down on 8 December 2025.

Clearbit began as a standalone B2B data provider and now works as native enrichment and buyer intent inside HubSpot. Enrichment fills company and contact properties in the CRM, buyer intent matches website traffic to companies so you can see which accounts in your target market are engaging, and form shortening hides fields the data can already fill. It suits HubSpot customers who want enrichment and account-level visit signals without adding another vendor.

  • Enrichment fills contact and company properties directly in the HubSpot CRM.
  • Form shortening uses known data to hide fields on HubSpot forms.
  • No extra vendor or integration if you already run on HubSpot.

How Markettailor Is Different

Markettailor is a B2B website personalization tool. It identifies the companies visiting your site from their IP address and firmographic data (company level only, no individuals), groups them into segments by industry, company size, location and behaviour, and changes headlines, case studies, logos and calls to action for each segment. It also recognises target accounts, tests personalized experiences against a control, reports engagement by account, and syncs visitor data to Salesforce or HubSpot.

  • Markettailor acts on the visit while it happens, changing headlines, proof and CTAs for the visitor's industry, size or account.
  • It works for teams on Salesforce as well as HubSpot.
  • Personalized experiences can be tested against a control, so you can see whether a variant actually lifts conversion. See A/B testing.

Pricing

Clearbit: There is no standalone Clearbit pricing; the capabilities are part of HubSpot. Data enrichment is available on Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions of HubSpot hubs. HubSpot's Data Hub pricing page lists a Free tier, Starter from $10 per seat per month (shown as a discount from $20 for new customers), Professional from $800 per month and Enterprise from $2,000 per month, and HubSpot Credits at $0.010 per credit. Markettailor: Custom quote based on traffic volume and requirements. Every plan includes website personalization, visitor company identification, A/B testing, the analytics dashboard, unlimited team members and a dedicated account manager, and the team handles technical setup (see the pricing page).

Which Should You Choose?

Choose Clearbit if

  • You run marketing and sales on HubSpot and want enrichment without another tool.
  • Your priority is complete CRM records and shorter forms.
  • You want account-level intent alongside your existing HubSpot reporting.

Choose Markettailor if

  • You want your website to show different content to different industries, company sizes or target accounts.
  • You are not on HubSpot, or want personalization independent of your CRM.
  • You want to measure how segments and target accounts engage with each page.

Using both

They can sit side by side. HubSpot customers can keep Clearbit enrichment for CRM data and use Markettailor for the website layer, with Markettailor's visitor data synced into HubSpot. Our guide to connecting personalization data to your CRM covers how to keep the two from writing over each other.

Things to Check With Clearbit

  • The capabilities are tied to a HubSpot subscription; the former standalone free tools are no longer offered.
  • Buyer intent and smart properties can consume HubSpot Credits, so check usage limits in your account's billing settings.
  • It identifies and enriches companies and contacts but does not change website content or run A/B tests.
  • Teams that relied on the Logo API or the Weekly Visitor Report need a replacement for both.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Markettailor replace Clearbit Reveal?

For the website use case, yes: Markettailor identifies the companies visiting your site from IP and firmographic data and uses that to personalize content and alert sales. It works at company level only and does not enrich individual contacts, so it does not replace Clearbit's contact enrichment.

Do I need HubSpot to use Clearbit now?

New Clearbit sign-ups require a HubSpot account, and its enrichment and buyer intent are delivered as HubSpot features.

Does Clearbit personalize website content?

Not on its own. Clearbit, inside HubSpot, enriches records, shows buyer intent and shortens forms. Changing headlines or proof on the website for each company needs a personalization tool.
